MVP: Chasson Randle lead the comeback that earned the New York Knicks their first win of the Summer League. He would lead all scorers with 24 points in the game, also adding 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals.
That was … butterfingers: While the Clippers Summer League roster did have their best scoring game thus far, they also struggled mightily in keeping the ball. The team would commit 28 turnovers, with many of them coming late in the game and in overtime.
X factor: Despite Brice Johnson notching his second-consecutive outburst on the offensive end and Diamond Stone’s best offensive performance from the last three games, the two rookie bigs have continued to exhibit shortcomings on the defensive end. It is an area that many rookies struggle with when reaching this level of competition, and will be an area both players will need to work on going into the fall.
